Many people prepare their own returns or use a tax service. The advantage of working with me is to add advice to the process. Decisions made during the year can have an effect at tax time and you want to be prepared and not surprised. Conversations during the year can be invaluable. If you own a business, there may be tax planning opportunities, some of which may not be readily apparent.
Tax Notices and Audits
The words “IRS Audit” can generate anxiety no matter the circumstance. In reality, most audits consist of a letter asking for documentation, explanation or more information. The other audits involve a longer process and working with an agent. Miscommunication can be a problem, so handling any correspondence from the IRS is better handled by a professional. Estate & Trust Tax Preparation
Working with an appropriate attorney is the correct way to be sure you have made plans for the financial future. My role is to coordinate the attorney’s plans with you so that all parties understand your goals. Related to these decisions are tax returns – trusts, estates, and final income tax returns. Your estate is not too small to require such returns and I am ready to help you navigate.
