Kathleen W. House, EA
Background
Prior to moving to South Carolina, Kathleen W. (Grow) House worked as an accountant, tax preparer, and tax manager for numerous accounting firms in Maryland over a span of 30 years. Having been self-employed since 2016, she works with small businesses and individuals helping them minimize their tax obligations and stay compliant with tax laws. Kathleen is a seasoned tax professional who provides her clients with personalized service to meet their various needs. With a background in financial planning, she is able to assist clients in making informed decisions regarding the tax implications of their investments and retirement accounts.
Kathleen attended Radford College (now University), the University of Maryland – University College, and the Florida State University. Through continuing education, she keeps current on the latest changes in tax codes that may have an impact on her clients’ tax returns. In 2007, she earned the designation of Enrolled Agent from the Internal Revenue Service and is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA).
Kathleen enjoys people and good conversation. Add music, gardens, and museums to the people and it’s a perfect day! She attends church and served as her church Treasurer for many years in Silver Spring, Maryland. With family and friends spread out over the U.S. and so much to see, travel is a priority.
